Christmas at Læsø
Christmas on Læsø - the tranquility settles, the pulse slows down and there's plenty of time to enjoy yourself.
In December, darkness has fallen. The days are short and call for a knot in the stove, some candles on the table and lots of cosiness.
Christmas on Læsø begins as early as November, and there are Christmas tree lighting and various other events.

Christmas time is also dinner time
December is also traditionally a time to gather around the table in the company of good friends, good colleagues and, of course, family. For many, dieting is put on hold, and the company and good conversations create happy smiles. If you're brave enough to work in the kitchen, there are plenty of opportunities to buy ingredients from local merchants, and if you prefer to sit down at a well-laid table and be served in peace and quiet, several of Læsø's restaurants offer both Christmas lunches and food to go - including New Year's menus, for that matter.
Go for a walk
There's not much traffic on the roads or paths on Læsø, so if you need some fresh air after a good lunch, there are plenty of opportunities to walk completely undisturbed - or in good company, like here Læsø's local Fodslaw, who enjoyed the fresh weather a few years ago.
If you need a little inspiration for a good walk on Læsø - in fact, regardless of the season, check out our theme page with hiking routes on Læsø; here there is something for everyone, from a small stroll around Bløden Hale or our big Island Camino of 66 km - however, unlike Christmas snaps, you can bite it in a few bites :-)
